Middle School Workshops
Stage Fright/Audition Prep
Nearly every single performer gets stage fright. This workshop aims to confront those fears and find ways to calm our nerves (or use them to our advantage). It will also teach students how to prepare for an audition once you’ve addressed your nerves.
Voice & Movement
This workshop will teach students all of the many ways we can use our voice and body and how it can transform the way we act. We will be up on our feet and discovering new sounds and movements our bodies can make in order to tell a story.
Character Development
This workshop will teach students how to use our own creativity and the knowledge of our character to develop fully-fleshed characters. They will learn how to get to know their character better and portray an honest performance of who that character is to them.
Acting Through Song
In this workshop, we will learn how to use the lyrics, melody, and rhythm of a song to figure out what our character is really trying to say and how we can use that to our advantage as actors. Students will bring in a song they want to use for this workshop. They are not required to sing, but encouraged.
Session 1 : February 12th, February 26th, March 5th, and March 26th
Saturdays 9-10am – $70/session (4 workshops)
