Improvisational theater, or improv, is a form of live theatre in which the characters, stories, and dialogue are made up in the moment. Improv is a great skill for all children, because it develops bravery in the fearful, focus and confidence in the anxious, and inspires confident humility in the bold! Our classes are tailored to each age group to work with their natural levels of social and cognitive development, and to challenge them to learn new social skills that will benefit them for their entire lives!

(no experience necessary)
Improv/Audition Prep… Improv is an essential skill for any well-rounded actor or performance artist. In this combination class, students are challenged, through improv, to drop the natural self-protective barriers of their age and find a way to embrace their creativity with boldness. [Lessons include adaptability, consistency, character development, inclusion/teamwork, trust (self and others), and how to relate to their audience]
The second portion of the class will also give them the opportunity to workshop monologues or songs they are preparing for upcoming auditions, as well as the chance to give and receive peer feedback in a safe and honest space.
